The UC Systemwide NAGPRA Implementation Committee is seeking nominees for two vacancies,

• One UC Representative, must be affiliated with a Native American Studies program
  • NAHC UC Representative Repatriation Committee Candidate Outreach Solicitation
• One Tribal Representative, must be from a Federally Recognized Tribe
  • NAHC Tribal Representative Repatriation Committee Candidate Outreach Solicitation

These requirements are established by CalNAGPRA § 8026 (a)(2).

The Native American Heritage Commission, which oversees the nomination process is advising that nomination packets be submitted as soon as possible. Candidates may also self-nominate.
